Year 10 Peer Mentoring Residential

          10L Residential at Cultra

On the 15th June 2005, we went to Cultra to learn how to be good

 peer mentors.

The place we were staying in was one of the streets in the Ulster Folk

and Transport Museum.  When we arrived we got put in rooms with our friends,

it was fun!  The purpose of going on the residential was to gain an understanding

of what a peer mentor does.  We did loads of activities and they were great.

We are going to be helping the new Year 8's because we know what way to help

them out now.  We will not be shy when we meet them.  Everyone had a brilliant time.

We all thought it was great fun.

We are spelling the word TEAM, using our bodies.

As a group, we tried to stand only using 4 feet with 7 people.

This exercise needed concentration and listening skills.  We had to walk a certain distance, as a team, using our hands and feet to lift and move the skis.

We made a circle back to back and we had to try and let one person through.
